Enhancing User Experience for Audiense's Social, Digital, and Demand Intelligence Platform
During my tenure at Audiense from 2015 to the present, I undertook the crucial task of enhancing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of Audiense's social, digital, and demand intelligence platform. The primary problem we aimed to address was the need to provide marketers with a more efficient and seamless experience while using the platform. To achieve this, we embarked on a transparent workflow that involved several key steps.
First, we conducted a comprehensive assessment of the current UI/UX. This involved a meticulous analysis of Audiense's existing design to identify pain points, usability issues, and areas within the platform that required improvement. Gathering insights from real user experiences was instrumental in understanding the specific challenges that needed to be overcome.
To ensure that client-specific requirements and preferences were at the forefront of our redesign efforts, we actively engaged with high-profile clients, collecting and incorporating their valuable feedback. This iterative process allowed us to align the redesign with the unique needs and expectations of our clients, making it a collaborative and client-centric endeavor.
In terms of the design framework, we selected the React Toolbox framework as the foundation for our redesign. This decision was based on considerations such as scalability and user-friendliness, ensuring that the chosen framework would support the platform's growth and meet the demands of our users.
Leveraging cutting-edge design tools, including Figma (formerly Sketch), Framer, and Principle, our UI/UX Design Team created prototypes and design mockups. These tools facilitated the development of visually appealing and user-friendly design prototypes, which formed the basis for our design enhancements.
Collaboration with the Audiense Development Team was a critical component of our workflow. We maintained close communication and collaboration to ensure the seamless integration of the new design into the platform. This alignment between design and development teams was essential to achieving our objectives effectively.
User testing and iteration were fundamental to our process. We conducted user testing sessions with marketing professionals, actively gathering feedback and identifying usability issues. This iterative approach allowed us to continuously refine the design based on real user input, ensuring that the final product would meet the highest standards of usability.

Refining User Interface for Twitter Community Management in SocialBro
During my tenure at SocialBro from 2012 to 2015, I took on the challenge of refining the user interface (UI) of SocialBro's Twitter community management dashboard. The primary objective was to incorporate advanced design principles, specifically Material Design and Atomic Design, to elevate the platform's usability and visual aesthetics, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.
The problem we aimed to address was the need for significant UI improvements within SocialBro's dashboard for managing and monitoring Twitter communities. While the platform offered robust functionality, it required a comprehensive redesign to align with emerging design concepts such as Material Design and Atomic Design, which were gaining prominence in the field of user experience and product design.
Key stakeholders in this project included myself as the product designer responsible for the UI enhancements, the SocialBro Development Team, and the organizations and users who relied on SocialBro's Twitter Community Management Platform.
To address the challenge, we followed a well-defined workflow. It began with an in-depth UI assessment and analysis, where I conducted a meticulous evaluation of SocialBro's existing UI. This analysis aimed to identify pain points, usability issues, and areas in need of improvement, providing a comprehensive understanding of the current UI landscape.
The next step involved the integration of Material Design and Atomic Design concepts into the platform's UI. This integration was crucial to establish a modern and cohesive visual identity for the platform. It required the thoughtful incorporation of design principles from these frameworks.
Throughout the project, multiple design iterations were carried out. Each iteration focused on refining and optimizing the UI based on the principles of Material Design and Atomic Design. These iterations prioritized achieving a balance between aesthetics and usability, ensuring that the redesigned UI was both visually appealing and functionally efficient.
Maintaining a user-centric approach was paramount throughout the redesign process. This approach involved prioritizing the end-users' experience and feedback, with the goal of creating an intuitive and engaging platform that catered to the specific needs and preferences of the user base.
Finally, the project culminated in the implementation of the final UI design. This implementation incorporated all the enhancements derived from the Material Design and Atomic Design principles, resulting in a polished and user-centric Twitter community management dashboard.
The outcome of this endeavor was the successful redesign of SocialBro's UI, providing users with an improved and visually cohesive experience.
